Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

Train accident can be like collision or track damaging can be removed by science and techonolgy. Mutual industion based on the principle of solenoid where same pole repel each other. This principle might be helpful for collision. Insite of that, track damaging can be removed by generating and travelling of EMF induction. There should be control and receiving house before every major station, and before train leaving emf is send and if received by next control house,it means its OK.otherwise not

Railway budget is in the offing. Major collection of revenue comes from freight. Freight movement should be given major emphasis. railway has largest manpower in the industry. It eats up larger chunk of revenue leaving absolutely nothing for development. 2/3 of the manpower is a shear waste in railways. It must get away with the large manpower which is absolutely useless and channel it towards productive activities. the manpower engagement plans of china must be observed to learn lessons.

Indian Railways lack International Standards as per IRIS, the body for setting those standards. Also our railway sector is in shortage of 2 lakh crores to complete already existing projects.

I will be very honest here. The Indian Railways is the biggest economic opportunity in free India. We have got one of the most important ingredients for its prosperity i.e Able leadership. But if Narendra Modiji wants to realise his dream he has to invest in skills, skills and more skills. Not to brag but I have been to switzerland and if we want to develop a high speed rail system like the developed, technical skills are a cornerstone for the development of the sector.

1-Train must run on time , 2- Drinking water ,safety ,Hygiene and sufficient toilets ,3-Connect rail to rural public by making tie-up with local transport carry village passengers till railway station 4-Enable Indian post offices to function as booking and delivery counter for railway 5-Fare system must be transparent ,flexible fare and poor response of website are hopeless,6-A passenger can´t travel in two trains at same time ,IRCTC has poor response in resolving such incidences
