Belagavi is the oldest city in Karnataka with a rich history and culture. It is the 4th largest city in the state and the fastest growing urban center. Belagavi is also a business hub and education center of Karnataka. The city has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development for development as one of the 100 smart cities in India.

Belagavi City Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to urban infrastructure issues of the city and welcomes the citizens of Belagavi to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their infrastructure needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, housing, amenities related to recreational activities, sports facilities, energy efficiency, non-motorized transport, safety, electrification, open space development and management, healthcare, education, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle paths, roads, underpasses, over-bridges, services such as e-governance tools etc. Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for tomorrow’s Belagavi and to get shortlisted as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge.

Come, let’s together make Belagavi a thriving and vibrant smart city.

•For the city to be smart, first step should be to educate the people about what smart city is. People should be educated about the latest technology in the market, innovations and new methods. •There should be proper connectivity with the surrounding villages,• they should be provided with water and electricity conveniently. • The roads should be widened, and footpaths should be provided. • more and more trees should be planted •all the sewege should be treated before letting to the environment

Parking facilities should be provided to reduce traffic. 24 hrs electricity and water supply, & All city roads should be widened.

Ajinkya chikorde KLECET EC 1.Health care centers must be given priority 2.Electricity cabling must be done underground. 3.speedbreaker height must be reduced 4.sports center are to be established 5.proper disposal of waste. 6.public transport are to be encouraged.

I Siddharth, from klescet college and I like all others in my collegeam excited and suggestive about the amends required to achieve the 'smart city' status. Suggestions are as below- 1.make it a point to have more trees in the city 2.provide multi lane roads n provide lucid traffic movement. 3.Encourage public transport as it minimizes traffic of highest order as lesser vehicles on road! 4.public responsibilities must be enhanced so as the facilities. 5. smart in industrial area allocation

Rohan KLE CET The things to be done for the development of belgavi as smart city is: 1. 24*7 water supply 2. 24*7 elecricity 3. 24*7 bus facilities for all areas ( like bangalore ) 4. Separate buses for Kids and womens 5. Making of roads

Ramya Pai kle ec Belagavi requires 1] Proper parking facilities for vehicles. 2] Wifi connectivity. 3] Widened Roads. 4] Electricity. 5] Proper drinking Water facility. 6] Proper sanitory facilities.

Asst Prof, KLE MSS CET Belagavi As Population is Rise in once upon small town, Outer Ring Roads are to established at the earliest with Flyovers in City. We Need BUDA Complex Models in Belgaum, Which will Reduce the burden of all people coming to main city for shopping. Smart City Means 24x7 Internet with Power with eGov Features, but Downtime and Grievance Addressable Should Be Fast. Broad Gutters Should Made with partitions for wires and other cables so that roads are not dug repeatedly.
