Contd2: for Eg; Norway in a nutshell (google it) and promote aggressively. 4 - Every state should promote 1 Single itinerary of particular state and 2 itinerary combined with neighbouring state. For Eg: Maharashtra and Gujarat Combined. Goa and Kerala. 4 - Promote Tourism based on clients interest like: Romantic holidays, Family holidays, Vegetarian Departures only, Island only. Beaches only. etc. Segregate each segment. 5 - PROMOTE INDIA AS A BRAND .. We have seen enough Truly Malaysia ads

I work in Muscat as a Travel Consultant and there are few suggestions that I would like to share to promote Tourism in India. Suggestions as per below: 1 - Promote 1 Website for tourism and make it a brand across the world. Frankly speaking Incredibleindia.org is not so user friendly and very less useful. 2 - Tie-ups with private partners like Makemytrip or Thomas Cook India for promoting Tourism in India. 3 - Pick up or create 1 itienrary which includes Train, Cruise and Road travel.Contd.

LPG-linking forms for getting subsidy in bank-accounts require 17-digit LPG-ID of consumers. But cash-memos given by LPG-distributors has simply 16-digit LPG-code with first digit ‘3’ (for Delhi consumers) missing in computerized cash-memos. Correct 17-digit LPG-ID of consumers can be seen by going for web-search after registering on Indane-website. Most Indane-consumers are lower-income group not having access to internet. IOCL should ensure correct printing of LPG-ID of consumers on cash-memos

Union government has taken much-desired step to link LPG-subsidy being linked directly to bank-accounts of LPG-consumers. Step will avoid black-marketing of unutilized annual subsidized quota of consumers by LPG-distributors. Union government should also implement policy of providing subsidy on LPG only to those having submitted affidavits of being in lower-income group towards a positive policy of doing away with subsidies which are often misused and availed by non-deserving ones

India has everything- ancient ruins of civilization, beautiful architectures, snow capped mountains, awesome beaches and large number of wildlife reserves ( in short a great combination of history and geography), but we lack the proper packaging and promotion of all that we have in our country. For many abroad, India is all about the Taj Mahal and temples. Eg: people in Singapore like taking short holidays to Bali , Maldives and Phuket but they are completely unaware of Andamans and Lakshwadeep.

I did Parikrama in Govardhan parvat on 16 Nov 2014 and got delighted. Mai khudko bhagya shali samajta hu kiuki mai Govardhan parikrama kar paya. While doing parikrama I observed that local people at few places have made surroundings very dirty by doing latrine. Urinal and latrine should be constructed along parikrama path so that the surroundings do not get spoiled. The picture of the place should create devotion in our mind.

Having travelled around India my suggestions are 1. Good transport People would like better connectivity to tourist places. Wherever possible same day tour should be provided. Hptc/kptc have very good same day tours.provide ac buses wherever possible. Provide info and booking via websites. 2. Marketing.I have seen foreign countries marketing small things like anything. India has so much to see and offer. I believe we can easily sell india as a tourist country. 3. Educate people about bene

Sir privitize even the historical monuments that ASI cannot manage. Have clear plan of action and approved guideline that need to be followed.Offers should be given to only suitable large organisation's to start with like Tata's India Hotel, ITC Orberio's. They have been able to restore the old haveli's in Rajasthan successful and turned them into hotels. I am sure they can restore some of our monuments. Land to build hotels on a 30 year lease surrounding the monument recover their investment
