Hello Everyone, With the concern of this group, I would like to bring it in notice about world's largest youth run organization called AIESEC. AIESEC India has its Local Chapters in more than 24 cities and every year AIESEC India helps more than 1000 youth from India to travel abroad and know their culture. NOt only this but every year AIESEC India welcomes more than 2000 young people from 124 countries to know about the culture of India. I feel AIESEC can help in promoting rich Indian culture

there are many countries in the world whose major income is from tourism. Our tourist places have very poor infrastructure, poor maintenance, lack of promotion. Why not to develop tourist sites on PPP ( public private participation) or BOO ( Built Own and Operate) pattern. This sector will create more jobs and bring in more foreign exchange than our sectors.

Firstly i think to promote tourism we need to build spots and the entire area, like Goa, people have all facilities so foreigners visit this place, forts etc we have huge credentials which if developed can be made a great business.

For tourism to flourish in India. We need hospitality not exploiting. We need well kept heritage sites. We need clean India which means good roads, good places to stay, clean and on time flights and trains. Connectivity to tourist sites. Resorted and maintained sites. Signs with description. Era History written boards. So many things I really don't know where to start. Website with every details of every tourist spots in India. climate, time of visit, festivals in any state. every detail counts

My recent visit to Red fort Delhi and Taj Mahal were painful. Restoration was nothing but sealing the intricate work since they did not know how to replicate it. Bad guides who take you for rides instead give recorded audio units. Autos that charge you double and more. I could not visit the Sheesh Mahal because I was told its shut because of theft. Why not install a cctv and punish those who tamper with the artifacts instead.
