Parliamentarians and others entitled for free rail travel should be allowed free rail-travel only upto second-class air-conditioned class. In case, they wish to travel in higher class like first-class air-conditioned or proposed ‘Anubhuti’ class, they should be asked to pay for such luxury-travel. Facility of free travel in these higher classes should be only on payment-basis abolishing free travel-facility altogether for any category

No cancellation-charges are levied on Parliamentarians because they are privileged with facility of free rail-travel. Usually all seats/berths in railways in first-class air-conditioned coaches are full much-much in advance mostly in name of Parliamentarians which are not availed in practice in most cases, causing problems for passengers desiring reservation in first-class air-conditioned class. Full ticket-cost may be recovered from Parliamentarians not availing rail-reservation

There are sufficient provisions of exemptions under ten sub-sections of section 8(1) of RTI Act. There is absolutely no need for having section 24 in RTI Act with exempted organisations listed in second scheduled of RTI Act. To start with CBI should be removed from exempted bodies under RTI Act. Last month I was in Jammu Station.saw open eatery preparing paratha..and all sorts of cooking and dirtying the entire place..outside station huge open space is unutilised. Rministry should stop/ban cooking inside railway stations..will help in swachh Bharath campaign. When I was in Delhi Station there is no proper eating place full of dirt and kachada everywhere. Please create food courts in Rstations and good waiting rooms.Railways have huge space if intention & willingness anything is possible

Today, major problem with railways profitability is due to diesel usage. only 40% of the railway line is electrified, in the next 2-3 years govt should take it to 70% this will create huge savings to govt on account of import bill and also gives job to crores of Indian population and this will be engine for the economy to touch 9-10% GDP. I am from Bangalore if you have train like palace on wheels...connecting bangalore.mysore.hampi.chitradurga.udupi..will create good revenue and also tourism

Heavy fines should be imposed on ppl, who fail to understand these basic rules of hygiene.

Our country has made state of the art airports, they are the Gateway to our country but what we do not realize is that Railway stations are the Gateway to our Cities. What I have observed is that the Railway infrastructure always succumbs to the shear volume of ppl using it. Mostly due to budget constraints and the rapidly growing population. Laws have been made to prevent littering and not defecating in public, but LAW ENFORCEMENT IS REALLY SHODDY. Our Cops themselves dont have any civic sense

Near all the railway station situated in urban areas a family can not able to open windows becoz every where u will find nacked persons using railway premises for natures call, heap of garbage, encroachments causing accidents ,stray cattle. each time whenever i passed through then waiting one day good governance govt,good railway minister will wake the railway dept to solve this.Tourist always take pic/video of this scene & show in their country this is india.
