Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

INTRODUCTION : India has now accepted a ten years general school system, divided into three stages: (a)pre-school education, (b)elementary education and (c)secondary education We strongly emphasis on the development of kids in those areas where education lacks the most. In order to maintain all the mentioned tasks and to check the quality of education department will appoint a Head at each DIE.

Its functions are as under: (a) To improve school - education (b) Continuing education (c) Non-formal education (d) Special education. (e)To make available extension - services to teacher - education - institutions and coordinate the same. (f)To prepare teaching aids for educational institutions. (g)To motivate teachers to undertake /investigative research regarding content cum methodology.

In this unit we will discuss the role of different agencies and their functions towards teacher education at state, national and international level. Training, preparation of teaching aids and evaluation needs continuity to achieve quality education.

INTRODUCTION : Due to explosion of knowledge, there is a spread of education not only in India, but all over the world. Due to this change, social needs are changed accordingly. A teacher is expected to face the new changes by undergoing through training for new trends in education. Such training needs are satisfied by different agencies at different levels.
