Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

Sir, RGPPL,JV of two maharatnas NTPC & GAIL,is under shut down for want of gas. It had been accorded priority along with fertilizer for gas allocation from KG D-6 basis by EGoM but later it is kept in abeyance by PMO. This value assets of approx Rs 12000/- at verge of NPA . It can only be saved by according the priority gas allocation at par with Fertiliser from KGD6 although there is additional subsidy for fertilizer sector. It will provided much needed power to MSEDCL and Jobs to locals

Hello Sir, I am working as a Software Consultant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I had an idea Aadhar Card e-generation. There are many Indians in India and Abroad who have Passport/PAN but they never went to apply Aadhar Card. We should have an online site which should allow user to upload his passport/PAN copy along with other authentication and the Aadhar UID would be generated online for him. Later he can receive the physical Card by post on payment. More Indians will have Aadhar this way. Kushagra

State like uttarakhand and himanchal are quite sensitive coz of china border.nepal having an open border from here and it is now used by unwanted elements. Screening system and better gps technology are much wanted projects.also digital identification of nepali commers and track of their activities is mandatory. Here digital activities should be added with defense system to make it much advanced. Connectivity and visiilence are major factors we are lacking.

Sir, Presently the TDS(Tax Deducted at source) slab for interest gained on Fixed Deposit is Rs. 10000 which has fixed way back. I propose to raise this level to Rs.25000 as this will attract more deposits. As well as this slab should be fixed as per the saving capacity of an average common man.please consider the matter in forth coming union budget for 2015-16

In this digitalized era...everything is online...online fund transfer/ shopping /ticket bookings so why can't be online Voting for general Elections. A large no. of working group can't use their right to elect as its not feasible to reach their voting/ permanent residence , cast the vote and return back to work place in a single holiday of election. This group can play a major role in deciding the mandate as they are literate and aware. A highly secure IT system can overcome this problem.
