Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

For Rural India Tourism we should i) Need to improve road connectivity ii) Identify villages where historical monuments/ natural places are exist but are ignored, reinvest on its renovation, beautification and connect it with local social cultural heritage. Iii) Trained local people on hospitality, professional service provider, hygiene and food -logistic & Boarding arrangement, Take the advice and engage experts from Singapore and other countries who are earning well from tourism sector.

Sime villages of Karnataka, TN,Kerala and AP are very popular for their age old traditional ayurvedic treatments for the Arthopeadic, Paralysis, cancer and other chronic health disorders. Identify those villages in a state and arrange the helicopter connectivity through the near by airport , if possible provide the accommodation, it definitely boost the village tourism. Post covid19 era people prefer or interest to spend in villages for short times. 9440775286

गांव के अंदर टूरिज्म बढ़ाने के लिए बहुत जरूरी है कि वहां और सुविधाएं तो बढ़ाई जाए और उदाहरण के तौर पर हिमाचल के सिरमौर जिले में बड़े साहेब गुरुद्वारा के आसपास छपाक और राजगढ़ जैसे स्थान है जो गिरी नदी के आसपास है बहुत सुंदर जगह है और गुरुद्वारा एक बहुत आकर्षक का केंद्र है मेरा हिमाचल सरकार से अनुरोध है इस सारे क्षेत्र को ग्रामीण टूरिज्म से जोड़ा जाए ताकि वहां के लोगों को काम भी मिल सके और यह हिमाचल का जो पिछड़ा क्षेत्र है वह आगे बढ़ सकेभारत सरकार से भी निवेदन है कि इस पर ध्यान दें

by ensuring proper security of the tourists and by making the routes to villages accessible we can help the tourism grow,we can also have many activities which are native to that village which will indeed increase employment opportunities in the village.

Every village in India has it's own uniqueness, in terms of food habits, diversity, cultural values, societal life etc. One can choose the coastal villages, river side villages, hill side/ ghot area villages. Identify atleast 15 t0 20 villages in a state on experimental basis based on the above parameters, allow the helicopter connectivity to the nearby airports, it may be 1 or 2hrs journey through the sight seaing can cover on it's way ,is fully successful in the area of village tourism.

ग्राम पंचायतों में सार्वजनिक रूप से खुली बैठक में विचार प्रकट किया जाय और हर नागरिक का विचार और मत लिया जाना चाहिए, ग्राम प्रधान और सचिव की मनमानी विकास कार्यों में लागत से15 गुना अधिक किया का रहा है, जबकि जिसकी कीमत उदाहरण में मार्केट रेट 3800 वही सोलर लाइट ग्राम पंचायतों में 23500 रुपए की लगाई गई कैसे क्या शासन को क्या नहीं पता कि कौन सी वस्तु कितने की बाज़ार में जबकि टैक्स हर वस्तु का सरकार ही निर्धारित करती है,

By keeping our culture and tradition alive , a tourist always wants neat and clean hygenic facility but at the same time a rural life is something new we can sell on , some foreign tourists may like to cook on a chulha ,see how it is to live in a hut /cottage , interact with locals , local food , local clothing especially rajasthan n gujrat , tourists see how the locals live in bare minimal these can be an attraction and they can be organised in the form of an local experience for the tourists

Swachh Bharat is the most effective key to promoting tourism. It's appalling to see people continuously spit on the road, clean their nose, throat. Even animals don't do that. Spitting & urinating on roads must be made punishable offence and all such acts must be fined.
