Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

सर ग्रामीन भागात कुकुट पालन शेळी पालन मत्यबीज हा व्यवसाय करण्यासाठी महिला / पुरुष याना पैसे न देता वरील यंत्र सामुग्री / प्रशिक्षन दयान्यात यावे यासाठी आपण सामाजिक संस्था सरकार याना हा कार्यकृम हाती घेण्यासाठी सांगावे यामुळे नैसर्गीक आपती मुळे होणारे नुकसान टळेल व बेरोजगारी कमी होवुन शेतकऱ्याच्या आत्यमहत्या थांबतील व शेतकरी स्वयपुर्ण होईल व देशातील बेरोजगारी कमी होईल व गावे समृध्द होवुन देश समृध्द होईल मी समृध्द तर गाव समृध्द गाव समृध्द तर देश समृध्द आपला संतोष भोसले धारूर जि बीड

Should make contributions tourism for rural India. There may be many interesting facts in rural India. But tourism in rural India should spoil the agriculture and community development. Mainly it should be plastic free zone.

Rural India is home to 70% of the nation's population.heart of India lies in villages following things should be taken consideration it can leverage rural tourism in india. 1.Community Based Rural Tourism 2.Village Tourism 3. Agro Tourism 4.Culture Tourism

मीडिया वालों की ये परिभाषा समाज को कैसे जोड़ सक्ती है इस पर लगाम नहीं लगा सकते क्या जैसे चुनाव के वक्त 15%यादव15%ब्राह्मण20%दलित10% राजपूत 5% वैश्य 5 सिक्ख 30% मुस्लिम, जातिवाद का जहर फैलाने वाले मीडिया पे तुरंत एक्शन हो , दलित महिला के साथ बलात्कार ठाकुरों ने किया अत्याचार, वहीं मुस्लिम हो तो एक समुदाय के कुछ लोगो ने ये दोगला पंथी बंद नहीं कर सकते क्या कोई जाती का हो उसको सिर्फ हिन्दू कहा जाय हिन्दू समुदाय के प्रति इतना द्वेष क्यों

The State Govt should provide special low interest loans in rural areas with proper hospitality training to local communities. The State tourism dept may develop special packages with welcome kits , to attract more tourist. The local attractions should be highlighted thru wide publicity . It will definitely boost up regional culture and traditions and will also open the doors for more opportunities.

Forgotten Cottage Industries i.e. Pottery making of goblets, saries; Weaving; (carpet looming); Specialist Ayurveda as well as teaching of the Original Sanskrit, Indian Musical Instruments & Art etc. This is specialist traditional knowledge which stems from India. Digital Technology must be uprooted. It has a detrimental impact on health, society etc. The above needs to reinstate these industries and NOT teach them to tourists.

Co-operative concept should be followed in every field like agriculture, science, technology etc. Big companies must be forced to outsource buying materials from small and medium factory in the country. By this way there will be competition among small and medium companies in the country for production of good export quality materials. Big multi national companies must be forced to invest more in social activities like medical and education sector.

Gram Panchayat in my country must be given task to be fulfilled within a particular period. Stress must be given on mass participation on any issue of development in the village. Transparency must be in expenditures planned. There must be unanimous agreement for developmental activities. This must not concentrated only among followers of a particular party. Plan must be done to bring whatever available in cities to villages except big companies. Co-operative concept must be explored in villages.

Incentivise Private Sector Participation: The Government should incentivize private players to invest in unserved/ under-served tourism projects. The incentive pattern can be friendlier for attracting more innovative tourism projects vis-a-vis run-of-the-mill projects. Additional incentives, like additional interest subvention post- COD, can be provided to projects (including new hotels and resorts) at tourist destinations with limited tourist facilities and connectivity.

Tourism-Specific Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Rankings: ‘EoDB Tourism State Rankings’ can be introduced with comprehensive parameters for assessment of State initiatives.
