Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

मेरे विचार से बैंकों में 5 दिन का कामकाज होना चाहिए ताकि बिजली पानी तथा कागज का इस्तेमाल कम हो सके तथा प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का इस्तेमाल कम हो सके इससे लोग डिजिटल ट्रांजैक्शन करने के लिए प्रेरित होंगे डिजिटलीकरण की ओर भारत बढ़ेगा लोग छुट्टी के दिन डिजिटल ट्रांजैक्शन करेंगे इसलिए बैंक में 5 दिन का कामकाज होना चाहिए जिससे सरकारी खर्च को कम किया जा सके लोग छुट्टी के दिन डिजिटल ट्रांजैक्शन करने के लिए आदत हो जाए भारत के विकास तथा भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त , आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है

So many temples historic places are there in AP and other states. From the nearer town if the Govt provide with mini vans(Tourister) by encouraging the Youth by providing Vehicle from bank by Government guarantee, it will be useful to the Youth and to the State. The booking for that vehicle must be run by Government Tourism by app, and the payment may be made to Bank and the owner by the Tourism Dept only,

Go to them. Learn from them. Every place has it's unique flavours which the world can cherish. Only when we know them, then only we can understand, what is there that can promote tourism. But we should ensure that we do not encroach them or destroy their places on the name of tourism. The people should be at the centre of any idea.

Sir, to develop rural tourism, interested rural peoples should be educated in this regard by newspaper,social media & gram panchayat to provide some basic facilities in their specially allocated huts for tourism purpose where local food, water and rural medium for light etc must be provided for travelers and their feedback should be taken for improvement. Some incentives may be given by gram panchayat in this regard to interested rural peoples to starting this. I think there is huge scope.

Few of the biggest roadblock to rural tourisms are: (1) Information on how to visit, when to visit and how to visit (2) Security of the traveller (3) Access to emergency facilities at such places (like hospital) (4) Connectivity and hight cost of travel (5) Limited Modes/options to travel. For e.g if have to visit Itanagar, from Ahmedabad, you will have a great ride till Guwahati. After that it becomes troublesome to know how to move ahead and clarity on point 1-4 above. (6) Perception

1. Tourists: By giving tax incentives on rural holidays. Money must be spent via RuPay card that can authenticate the genuinity of the holidays ie location, nature of transaction etc. while maintaining the privacy. 2. Industry: By giving incentives on building tourist infrastructure. 3. Specific Sector: By introducing a concept of ‘Work Holidays’ in rural areas. 4. Colleges: By inducting a project to earn extra points by participating in the rural India activities.

Support local artisans, innovation. Ask all corporate companies to adopt one village or two based on their CSR funds. Let them declare that to Govt. Based on the improvement in the areas, these companies can get discount on corporate tax.
