Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

Last Date for submission is 31st October, 2020

To Promote Rural tourism we need to construct and plan our rural cities and buildings uniquely like "Jungle cities". Why do all of our buildings look the same? Why are there no plants hanging down from the roof tops that have fruits? Where are all the animals that people want to see like monkeys? why can't our buildings be fabricated with different designs like our temples? Lowering the cost, dropping the construction time, and mass-producing our rural towns.

Rural development can only access via the overall development of all sectors in an Economy.Rural development is a process of improving the quality of life and well being of people residing in rural areas.Majority of population in India resides in rural areas.I want to clear that Gandhi's concept of unto this last is the only way to attain an overall development for the nation.Development of rural area is also necessary that most of the MSMEs are in rural areas. That's why ANBA 2020 is relevant...

our governments is spending huge amount on IITs and IIM . The students in these institutions are considered best and they get the best facilities. which is denied to millions of students across India. The government can encourage these IIT students to take part in government activities mainly in the field of education. These students should get a power to inspect our government schools check the quality of education and help the students to overcome their difficulties.

Firstly, rural India people, especially young people of 18 to 25 yr age group must be educated about the concept. They must know what kind of services they should offer to the visitors such as hospitality, guide facility, entertainment, shopping outlets of local products and most importantly trustworthiness about any of the services they offer. Good publicity coverage can bring visitors, but for consistency rural people must get educated about the vision.

The rich culture of our rural area may not be explored for international tourism development. Tourism to be limited to the urban area to retain the charisma. Many of international tourist may not be interested in rural culture. We can develop the rural heritage for domestic tourism to enrich the national value to its citizen. One example is you can explore whether rural development happened in Goa inspite of years of international tourism. It will largely destroy the rural peaceful life and cult
