Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

Rural tourism can be a big game changer for our underdeveloped villages. This will provide gainful employment at minimal cost. Whatever we create for tourism will automatically bring much awaited and needed development to the area. Involve mainly locals for everything as far as possible. provide all basic facilities like roads, rail, medical, education, communication, electricity, clean water and so on. this will attract and retain talent in villages and lift living standard.

Providing Smart Hub on every village, people will able to connect world wide. Should give importance to GI tag regions by advertising. By promoting Organic Farming in villages, people living in urban cities buy organic vegetables. Start YouTube channel and Facebook account for each village and display their tourism places, their culture, their folk dances, their organic farming.

Every village can be a tourism hub in terms of culture, cuisine and traditions. Local produce can be highlighted mainly to domestic and inbound tourists. The youths can be trained in terms of hospitality related services and the elders to share the original traditional heritages with visiters. The concept of homestay will be an added attraction for every village. The flora and fauna of the rural areas can be marketed in social media with the benifits to the society and visitors.

Agricultural and Rural Economy The Government has allocated around Rs 2.00 L cr for agriculture and rural development due to corona and about 3.25 L cr budgeted for 2020 – 2021 under various heads.

Esase waha us gaw me ek tarah ka badlaw ayega aur wo gaw ek perticular chij ya kheti, ya phir kisi business ke liye famous ho jayega aur wo bhi ek tourist ka attraction point banega, jaise ki kisi gaw me honeybees ke loye Anukul climate hai aur waha par uski kheti charo taraf ho aur waha per har month exhibition lagaye jaye to har jagah honeybee ki kheti aur bich me ek khubsurat jagah banake log stall lagayenge, n ek hi jagah sab variety of honey dekhne ko milega to tourism to badega.
