Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

There are a lot of famous Hindu temples in rural areas. They do not have proper hotel facilities for food, short stay and public convenience facilities. Govt can create opportunities for people to provide shelter, food and public convenience for reasonable charges. This would help them improve their standard of living and also allow more pilgrims to visit those temples.

If India wants rural development in a real sense, the government must trap rural corruption. The government should support in establishing an Intelligence Bureau for tapping the rural corruption, and community-based corruption. Especially in the name of Caste Basis Developmental wing-like autonomous districts, are the practice for leading through corruption. Only a few are getting advantages, rest are not at all getting any advantages. Deploy intelligence and vigilant on it.

We have encourage them by motivating to plant more and more trees . Also we have to ask them to keep natural life as they have. We should give facilities in study and agriculture. We should encourage them by giving best ideas and free material for sun power ( Solar usage ) . Govt should give them free education and research and training. We have talent but not able to use properly.

With better connections of network tourists can easily avail various facilities like video stream , navigation and other services which require high speed connectivity to perform actions. Besides better network various internet based services like e-medicine , e-commerce etc. facilities should be available for the local as well as tourists in villages.
