Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

Also in addition to my previous submission: road and rail or air access infrastructure to that village/destination. Also emergency medical aid should be available to tourists. Authorised guides by government so that tourists aren't cheated by frauds. Merchandising stores with products from the village and surroundings.

Sir, I think our country is agricultural land we must focus on that to how to help framers economically so we have develop variety of plants like famous kadiyam nursery in east godavari ,ANDHAR PRADESH because foreigners also coming here visiting. Youth has to involve in agriculture made new innovations and helps to Amtnibar bharat. Like software jobs , in future farmers must high profile job Organic Agriculture + tourism will show meracils.

Villages nature beauty cannot be compared with anything else. As we know there are many unknown historical places are there mainly in villages. They are the unknown asset. They need to become popular. For example there is a historical place called pandavaragucchi and bhimanakallu in near by villages of Turuvekere, tumkur, karnataka. These are the places related to epic of Mahabharata and also many other places in villages. It is our foremost duty to develop rural areas as a part .

Allow rural area people to invite tourists to stay in their houses. Rank the people from the feedback of tourists. Good hosts will get good business.

Rural areas are a great part of economic development. Needs irrigation and it's production. Environment and irrigation are major factors of economic growth. Human health and safety are good rural areas. Start of Bharat is start of Rural area's development.

Make the things pro-people if you really want India to grow. I am sorry to say but pro-officers policies will hinder country's progress and will encourage corruption not the occupation.

I am son of a farmer. I have land in my village in Haryana. I want to start up a resort in my land, but I can not do it. I have to get my land use to get changed into Non Agriculture. Why this restriction. Why land use change certificate is required. In that way a farmer can not grow. These rules are not pro farmers. These are strongly anti farmers. A farmer does not have that much money to deposit the fee for all these proposes and he is also not intelligent enough to do all these paper work.

Of late people wanted to move out of city and go to villages or rural areas to rejuvenate themselves. They want to enjoy the green open spaces full of fresh air. Picnic spots like water falls, adventure sports and local cuisine are the main attractions of the tourists. They also look for safety during their stay of their family or individuals. If rural areas with all the above attractions are nearby in 100 Kms distance then it is bonus as people for weekends.

Every tourism/tourist potential village should have a tourism corridor set up in their village with tourist stay option, village guides, tourism hotspots information, food guide and food supply options with health safeguards, uninterrupted power supply, Internet access, travel options and government help desk. Allow a farmer to use his agriculture land for tourism purpose without getting the change land use certificate. Less restrictions you will keep more business will grow. Remove all unnecessary restrictions and you will see a big jump in the business. Till these restrictions are there no one will be able to flourish. These restrictions give ways to corruption.
