In many ways differently abled are also specially abled. Our efforts should be to bring out that ability and give a dignified and self sufficient future for them.

There is a need to create awareness among our country men on the special needs as well as ability of differently-abled people. There is a need to break myths. I have written a book 'Because Life is a Gift' with success stories of 15 differently-abled people, the issues they faced, the practical challenges and how despite all of these, they conquered. http://www.amazon.in/Because-Life-Gift-Disha/dp/9382665250/ref=pd_cp_b_1 I have recently authored a book 'Because Life is a Gift'

Since we know that they are differently-abled, we should unlock their potentiality and special skills so that we can train up in proper way to make them able to stand on their own feet and I request my Government to take up programmes to provide them social and financial security. Hereby, I request all the fellow Indians to respect their special abilities, do not sympathise, help them in your own way.
