Why we insist on hiring only young teachers? It is not necessary that younger the person he/she can teach better. On the contrary, those with real field experience can teach better. Example, in Financial Accounting class, a recent graduate without any real accounting work can't bring the wealth of knowledge and real world experience of an experience accountant. Please allow door for experience people, who might want to become teacher at a later age either as a full time or part time job!

Engineering and medical colleges have limited number of seats. They also have an aptitude and proficiency tests to be passed before getting admissions. As a result our engineers and doctors are proven world class. For teachers, it is like, as there is no other choice let us go to teaching! That is wrong! 1) Have fixed number of seats for Teachers 2) Have an aptitude test and a capability assessment test before giving admission. Those who want to be teacher should only be admitted.

There is the need to review the whole higher education system. Firstly the credibility of Private Universities is to be ensured and secondly the Government Universities should be in safe hands. Some Professors enjoying high salaries but having no academic output should be taken to task.

Respected Madam, I am a lecture in PG College (MBA). through this forum I would like to bring the plight of lectures working with private management. 1. We are not paid salaries on time (there is due of 5 months from my earlier employer) not only for me, but many are suffering like me. 2. certificates are kept with the employer, therefore no one raises their voice, if anyone does, they will be transferred or asked to leave,without clearing dues 3.SO IS THE FATE OF TEACHER IN INDIA!

PLEASE AVOID GIVING PREFERENCE TO CERTAIN CATEGORIES. ONE INDIA ONE EDUCATION SYSTEM. EITHER STATE OR CENTRAL BOARD. COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM SHOULD BE CONDUCTED FOR ALL ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES IRRESPECTIVE OF KOOTA SYSTEM. SO THAT BEST WILL BE REWARDED. INCLUDE MORAL EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FROM FIRST STANDARD TO POST GRADUATE LEVEL.

All university lecturers,also those with different institutions including engineering should have cleared NET/SET exam as the minimum criteria for teaching at first stage of working. PhD degree should be used only for promotion & not as minimum criteria of reaching. So all teachers should have equal eligibility criteria.
