Jaipur Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas to improve their city under Smart City Challenge.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Jaipur Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders Consultations, Blog writing competition, Logo making competition etc starting from 1stOct 2015 to 30th Nov 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Nagar nigam Website, Smart City Website) used to reach citizens.

Citizen interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed to developing this Smart City Proposal. Before the proposal is submitted to MoUD for its kind consideration, all citizens of the city are invited to give their feedback on the proposal developed.

For a successful smart city I think a smooth and efficient circulation system is one of the many important factors. We need to plan such that our city remains pollution free and traffic congestion free for future years as well.

Cities face huge challenges: congestion, pollution, crime, debt, and rising costs — while competing with each other for investment, jobs, and talents. With the movement towards smart cities, the urban centers we live in can become more efficient, livable, and sustainable in both the short and long term. Every city can become smarter. Smart cities start with smart systems, working for the benefit of both residents and the environment.

1.Adhere to the Basic Urban planning -All the markets/commercial activity should not face main road i.e. the traffic due to commercial activities should not directly merge /disturb in the main traffic on main roads. 2. Average city traffic speed in peak hours should not less than 80 Km/ Hr . -Check the better efficiency of individual transport system for time saving in travel. All the roads etc must be planned nicely to accommodate the present &future traffic for next 50 years.

Make strict rules for cleanliness I always imagine in my mind that what a foreigner think after visiting jaipur He must thinks what a dirty city So we have to make a cleaner pink city not a dirty city Make a rule for fine on throwing garbage in any place Hope u will think upon this and work on it

1. install emergency phones which are connected to control room for ambulance and police help 2. Smarter city needs smarter roads..!! please make roads which don"t have holes in it..!! plz 3. install red blinking lights on road as can be seen on military area jaipur. 4. charging points on bus stands and on popular place 5.screen on road which can show traffic like google maps shows traffic 6.place dustbins on roads to keep city clean. i always want to throw my waste to dustbin but i neve

MY SUGGESTION. FOR SMART CITY FIRST OF ALL GOV. SHOULD BE SMART. ALL GOV. DEPARTMENTS THIER OFFICES, WEBSITE, MOBILE APPS. SHOULD BE HIGH TECH AND WITH LATEST FEATURES AND TECHNOLOGY

1.JMC should have the digital map of all the wards for proper planning of solid waste management(clean jaipur is the priority). 2. Waste segregation is important part like developed countries (its good for recycling of waste). 3. Identify the number of locations to put the containers in each ward. 4. The city is neat and clean, which is not possible without active support of citizens. The municipal councillors should organise fortnightly meeting in their respective wards (Not just meeting of their party workers), take suggestions from citizens and should ensure that the suggestions are really implemented. Take a leaf from "Rural Biodiversity programme" of Government of India and replicate it in the city. In order to preserve our heritage and make walled city presentable,

Below should be the focus areas - 1) Smart Buildings - ensuring that buildings are eco- friendly and make them as much self sustainable as possible in energy generation using solar 2) Smart Public Services - focus on improving street lighting and security management, videosurveillance and other public services 3) Smart Energy 4) Smart Water 5) Smart Mobility - efficient public transportation system reducing congestion on roads
