The Finance Minister in his budget speech for the Union Budget 2015-16 made the following announcement:
“One way to curb the flow of black money is to discourage transactions in cash. Now that a majority of Indians has or can have, a RUPAY debit card. I therefore, proposes to introduce soon several measure that will incentivize credit or debit card transactions and disincentivize cash transaction”.
Accordingly, draft proposals for facilitating electronic transactions (E-transactions) have been prepared. Comments and views are invited on the Draft Proposals.

It's a good move by the Govt. whether it to curb Black Money or to facilitate easy way for transaction. But following points should be considered before implementation. 1. How Govt. will ensure there will be no cyber crime (Fraud)if e-payment is made. In that case how Govt. will compensate a poor indian, as every one knows how one suffer in case of Cyber fraud. 2. In india in 60% area there is no net connection & where available what is the speed of the net(except some selected cities).

Very good dicession by govt. Of India, i personally agree with it. I think every transactions must be done via electronic means, then there is no scope for black money, its a good idea than imposing many rules to curb the blackmoney. Nothing should be avialabe for money every pur hase should be done through electronic money.

Excellent idea. Will help in controlling the black money. Few suggestions though: 1. All government offices must accept card as mode of payment (currently many of them transact only through cash mainly Railways) 2. There is a sir-charge of 2% applied on many transactions which are made through card and the same is not applied if the payment is made through cash (for example petrol bunks). This will have to controlled. There should not be extra charge for using card.

To be continued... We need to encourage use of electronic payments for even those who are in lower income group. Now the additional benefit given could to include point system and giving the opportunity to use these points for increasing the buying power of the common man . For e.g. to buy food, medicines, clothes, education for children etc. #Jai Hind

People in our country are totally money mined so to improve online transactions some kind of offers should be given to the public like if some one make online transactions of more than 10 % of their Income then Income Tax rebate should be provided . Here i suggested threshold limit of 10% it may vary with convenience of the govt. policy. Thanks for thanking initiative in this direction .

Before we do this, we must need to make sure that all government bodies who deal with cash are provided with credit & debit card machines. For e.g. now government's biggest communicating agencies - Indian postal services, Indian Railway Services are yet dealing with only cash!

The journey to make india digital is definetely required. With our rapidly increasing population and with limited resources the time is right to come up with smart and innovative solutions. It's been predicted that by 2050 India would have the highest population globally. Though I am not proud to say it but it is a fact, we need to be better prepared. I like the proposal of digital payments, but giving tax benefits should not be the only benefit........to be continued... #Jai Hind.

We can develop a system with following points- 1) All bank accounts/debit/credit cards link with PAN/Aadhar card. 2) All transaction will automatically fetched from bank accounts and reflect in PAN card account. 3) Quarterly statement to be generated and calculated tax benefit count as TDS. And its also shown in Form16 also. I would like to give a addition suggestion on Income tax payer slab- All income tax payer will counted as a privilege citizen and they are eligible for discount in govt

1. Promote "Rupay Card" rather than "Master"/ "VISA" Cards. Transaction Charges would be income of Government rather then foreign company (Can be subsidized or free for Govt Offices/ Public Utilities). 2. Enhance RTGS/ NEFT Timings (IMPS works 24 hours but has very small limits) and remove charges on electronic payment (People in India has tendency to save small amounts (bank charges) despite spending huge amounts for personal reasons).
