Contd. from last post.. Private Banks should not charge yearly fees for card holders as they already make it mandatory for savings account holder to have a minimum balance of Rs. 10,000/- or more! This will also boost up the usage of cards!

This is indeed a very good move by the Government! The Govt. should also ensure that shopkeepers should not charge the 'convenience fee' and instead waive it off for the customers for using cards for payment. For enhanced security, all the cards should have a photograph of the card holder and a chip containing the data - card number, finger print, retina, etc., and this should be linked to the AADHAR database. This would definitely help in avoiding frauds using the cards. Contd to next post..

It is surely a positive move to eradicate the evils of Tax Evasion, generation of black-money and counterfeit currency. Government must promote RUPAY debit card and also create its own credit agency for this as otherwise a major part of business would get routed through MasterCard/Visa/Amex type foreign agencies.

This is a good movement and appreciated. But Government must be considered ordinary/village people who have no debit or credit card. For the ordinary peoples' government to be develop one more card e.g., e-cash who can use that card without debit card or credit card for the government transactions and of course this card should have maximum limits. And this card should controlled by SBI. (E-Cash card to be issued through SBI upon request the application with the support of Aadhar or any other)
