Invite manufacturers to sponsor LEDs for areas they consider worthwhile to be a medium of publicity/direct marketing & obviously within direct authority of government to implement the same. Additionally there may be kiosks to educate masses. Involvement of solar or other renewable energy companies is likely to have a multiplier effect. Parallel suggestion-Several commercial establishments keep their facade/signage lighting etc. on through the night. This should be curtailed to save electricity.

Recently I have bought LED Bulbs under UJALA scheme. But one thing discouraging me to use them in home is that light from LEDs produce shadows unlike TubeLight. So it would be better if LEDs are designed in form of Sticks instead of bulbs to give same effect as TubeLight. #LEDs #UJALAScheme

Those availing LPG gas subsidy with electricity connect at home must buy 4 LED bulbs & cost should be recovered from LPG subsidy given to them. Discourage LED bulb importers by imposing high taxes.

All street lights across the country should be LED powered by Solar energy like they have in many South American countries and in Beijing, China. Also levy extra tax at production for any other type of bulbs to compensate for high cost of LED.

Instead of paid add on gov receipts,tickets what ever reaches public from gov.Clear everything just print led and non led bulb beside bulb pic how much current it consumes per 1 hr and price for 1hr just one hr not more than 1hr details as per prices in there state gov.Remaining they will take care.Dont print anything other than price current consumption and bulb pic.

people should be explained that it is not the power bill but the units consumed which will come down .. the power tariff being in different states and cites the same amount of power units look very costly at one place whereas it may be cheaper at a place with lower tariff .....

first replace all the street lights , the lights in and outside government buildings, with LED..
