“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

I suggest that please try to start one university for water resources for the research and cleaning and increasing the ground water resources.most of the rivers are now contaminated by the industries and household wastes.Strict action should be taken against industries to curb this issues.and make the Industries to built waste water treatment plant inside their campus.if any water comes out of the industrial campus which should be a ordinary water.there shouldn't be waste water anymore.

I suggest that we can produce some amount of power by placing a small vertical wind turbine on those pipes from tank to tape thus you can produce some amount of power using the pressure of flowing water which is not useful for us.

I don't have much knowledge in this area but basic thing I know if we replace all Street light or highway lights or road lights and all major private sector, public sector and govt. departments outside premises light by solar equipped light with automatic sensor which can sense certain limit of sunlight and make it turn automatic on/off. This will definitely save enormous amount of light without manual international. Solar industry will get major boost by this initiative.

Conservation of energy in any form is need of hour. Our Policy makers may consider to introduce a system like creding "energy saving points" to account of individuals based on the "%age savings as compared to previous energy bills" to encourage energy saving at home at the grass root level and at a certain accumulation level these point be redeemed.

RESPECTED PM, THE EXISTING RULE FOR THE CONSUMERS THAT IF HE DOES NOT BOOK A CYLINDER IN 6 MONTHS, HIS COOKING GAS SUPPLY IS STOPPED. AND TO RESUME THE GAS SUPPLY AGAIN, ONE HAS TO SUBMIT K.Y.C TO THE GAS AGENCY. THIS IS A TEDIOUS JOB. THIS CONDITION (Book at least one cylinder in 6 months ) MUST BE REMOVED. MANY CONSUMERS WILL COME FORWARD IN SUPPORT OF YOUR APPEAL AND SURRENDER THEIR SUBSIDY OF COOKING GAS. REGARDS: TAPAN KUMAR DAS

Govt. Should also promote the making of roads with waste and recyclable materials. It was there in recent news. This will reduce the garbage and also the harmul things used for making roads.
