“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

Home automation system can reduce unnecessary power & water wastage in our homes. Similarly office automation system can reduce unnecessary power & water wastage in our offices. Fuel cells can provide cheap & clean electricity & can be deployed inside our auto-mobiles after suitable modification.

There are so many universities, colleges and hostels now everywhere. So the big problem faced is LPG. The better solution to this is Kitchen Waste biogas plants. Every hostel and canteen should have their own biogas plant so as to conserve energy and use of kitchen waste in better way. I am from Punjab and weather in Punjab is very good for biogas plant. Kitchen waste biogas plant's construction cost is also very low. So it is very easily installed anywhere.

This a golden chance to emerge into kerala as the top most political party as the both front have ruined greatly. My suggestion is instead of us going behind controversies of other parties we should present our development plan which is benefiting the maximum to the middle class and below a few examples.. I have made a few innovative plans and motos created which can help for an instant boom for the growth. If i have a chance i will present it.

Do you know India has more then 200 billion barrels of hydrocarbon reserves in Bay of Bengal basin to Andaman and Nicobar islands. Enough for next 10 decades of free energy & enough for uplifting millions from poor peoples to upper-class citizens . Why government is waiting ?

Primary role is of parents setting up example of conserving energy right from home. Seeing them the children will learn to follow. Bring this good practice into the value system. Use of public transport should never be against the status of an individual. Those we travel to same destination must pool together. In offices switch off monitor when one leaves the seat. Switch off fans where someone has missed to do so. These very minor things can in fact make a major contribution I think.

India has one of the largest coastlines in the world . why don't we use it and tap renewable energy sources like tidal(offshore and onshore) ,wind and solar energy ? sea breeze and land breeze can power up wind turbines. Tidal waves can power up areas along coast ! Its renewable and completely ecofriendly .

Mr. Ramar might not be producing bio-fuel. But why this product is not in the market? Why government is not supporting him?
