In many cities of india ,markets are off on sundays ,due to this people bound to do shopping on weekdays in evening/night ,and requesting local govts to allow shops to open for late hours ,which means extra energy consumption ,for whole nation uniform guidelines to be issued for opening shopping markets on sunday s this will be great
contribution for saving electricity demands .

Respected Sir,
‘Games or outdoor Sports’ for more than four decades or so are being played under ‘flood lights’ at night. This practice of playing games after sunset started purely for ‘commercial interests’ and has now become very popular the world over.Games or Sports can be played during daylight as was done in the earlier times. Can we not adjust our lifestyles a little bit to save precious natural resources (electricity etc.)
Best wishes & regards,
Rajkaran Singh Bhatti

I also suggest the use of cycles be promoted bigger areas of the road be kept for cyclists and more bogies be added to Delhi metro so that more and more people use public transport. It would not only save time and energy but save fuel as well.

I suggest that government must immediately look in the issue of increasing traffic and vehicles in Delhi. It is a serious problem not only is it causing serious air pollution and noise pollution but also traffic damns and the problem of inefficient energy usage goes without saying. An easy and quick solution to this can be imposing heavy taxes on buying more than two cars per family and promote car pool. The govt. can make it mandatory for all medium and large scale companies to provide transport.

It is easier said than done, installing solar panels is costly proposition and once the solar light fades during night when the electricity consumption is high leads to ineffective usage. Changes need to be made at the grass root level, LED bulbs are still out of reach for the citizens of this nation as one bulb with 20W may require more than 100 rupees, there should be a uniformity in pricing so that its affordable to everyone procuring LED's. Providing subsidies will again have tax burden
