BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC CONGESTION IN ALL CITIES ,DUE TO THE INCREASE IN VEHICLE POPULATION EVERY MONTH (IN LAKHS) THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL WASTAGE OF FUEL THERE BY INDIA LOSES FOREIGN EXCHANGE FOR NOTHING .IF ONE ROUGHLY CALCULATE THIS FUEL WASTAGE IT MAY BE ABOUT 20% OF THE TOTAL USAGE .LIKE IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ,CAN'T THE GOVT. ADVISE MAIN CITIES' TRANSPORT AUTHORITIES TO ENFORCE MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES BY USING THAT IDEA WHERE BY ATLEAST 20% OF THE VEHICLES ARE OFF THE ROAD ON ALTERNATE DAY

Linking Aadhar card and Jan dhan yojna for processing subsidy for gas cylinders is good but the way it is implemented is far from satisfactory. The level of hardship which senior citizens had to undergo is very bad. First they will have to fill appropriate forms and attach the aadhar card copy and handover to gas retail agent. Then they will have to go their bank and handover the same set to get their bank account linked. So at that age people are made to run from once place to another resulting in chaos. Instead government can think in terms of enrolling internet cafe's for typing such forms online and scanning the required documents. Once it is successfully done a digital bar code will get assigned when a print out is taken which can be passed on to both the gas retailer and bank. This can be done for a small fee and life becomes easy for all. Job creation also happens and inconvenience to senior citizens reduced. The same centres can be used for other digital initiatives too.

I request your government to review the pricing formula and ensure that it is fair and transparent. The pricing policy should be made simple and made public. The fear of petroleum prices going up as the crude oil price increases in international market is real and all the good work and reputation your govt has built will be spoiled. Hence appreciate if you could stablize the prices at current levels and start building price stabilization fund which should be used when international prices go up.
