Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

It's so cumbersome for the Indane customers to submit the KYC documents to the respective distributors esp. in Kolkata. Either the distributors do not know with what documents and how to fill up the form or they want to harass the customers. Customers need to line up for long hours for submitting their documents. Question is -do we have to do KYC for buying petrol or diesel? No. Thn why do we have to do KYC for Indane cylinders? We are buying cylinders as it's same as other consumerable goods.

We need to alternative option like CNG. Take the required action to produce more CNG & make it available across all the cities in our country. Its currently available in selected cities.people don't prefer to by CNG veichles because if its unavailability in most of areas. I feel govt. should take action to minimize the use if Petrol & Disiel. There should one R&D team who should work seriously on various alternate energy innovation.

We need to revive refinery infrastructure in India, reduces Transport losses, reducing over head costs of IOCL/IPCL/BPCL/HPCL. 2, We need to increase storage fro petrol products from current levels to double across coastal India. 3. As crude prices are low we need to preserve our resources 3. Govt to reduce taxes for good milage vehicles and to increase taxes 300% for less milage vehicles. 4.We need to check Petrol can mix with Maize oil/Ethenol/Yucaliptus or oils we can get at lower prices

Dwaraka, coastlines in other states, and places where there can be fossil fuels should be sought after with the help of all these geologists and mining engineers in this country. We cannot rely on software industry for all this who are just consumers. Submarine based expeditions along with the navy and private players investments should work in tandem to explore more oil and gas in our neighbourhood shores.

PM JAN DHAN Yojna Lift restrictions on deposit and withdrawal. Poor senior citizens do not get (1) life / accident insurance even on payment of premium; and (2) access to bank credit. Jan Dhan account offers these facilities free. But the following impediments stand in the way: 1. Deposit limit of Ra 50000 in Jan Dhan account; 2. Rs 10,000 per month limit for withdrawal. To improve popularity of Jan Dhan accounts these restrictions must be removed.
