Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

There is a huge amount of black marketing of LPG in the today's market. Usage of residential LPG as commercial LPG for the sake of huge profit making by both the dealers and the rich customers. Why the rich people are getting or mis-using the deserving people's share of subidised LPG or other products. This will keep on going as it is, until and unless the formulated policies or the plans which Government makes for the benefit of the weaker section of the society is applied to its best !

As central govt. is owning everything, so they should proactively call state govt. and local bodies and discuss about the more participation by offering more benefits and developments. There should be WIN-WIN situation for all the parties and not like that everything is taking by center by ignoring state and local buddies. The fact is - we should live and let other live happily. We should consider the environment impact and try to minimize it with latest technologies and process of exploring.

US Shall oil is one model, we should look at and ask small/marginal players to find out possible onshore oils ... tough way but even if we get 10% success rate, we would be in comfortable position with less dependence on petroleum import ...

Sir, detailed oil exploration program was carried out by Oil India in Rajasthan region. Presence of oil has been detected in various sectors. Why should oil recovery not be started in this region at the earliest which will reduce our Import Bills?

Respected PM, One rig caught fire at Pasarlapudi, in East Godavary , Andhra Pradesh caught fire and for more than 60 days continous fire and later arested by one US person more than 10 years back. Union Govt made open request across the globe.
