Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Allow competitive pricing between oil PSU's and the 3 private companies based on refining margins, As of now , the PSUs operate as a cartel when pricing their products, which is an anti-competition practice. Clearly, the next item on the agenda for the government should be to push the oil companies truly into the market era where fuel prices are linked to efficiencies and vary not just between the different players but between petrol stations of the same player based on which one is more effici

LPG and kerosene subsidies are major burden for the government. The government should immediately remove subsidy on domestic LPG for high income groups based on PAN records. Those having cars should also be disqualified. Those having income less than 2 lakhs should only be given LPG subsidy. Those taking kerosene should be supplied solar lanterns and LPG cylinders. Engage OMC-network to weed out kerosene users. OMC-distributors can address these two tasks of LPG and kerosene issues.

Euro specially adds all industrial output of all european countries. They export in euro and buy petroleum in euro. Making their euro stronger by the day. Very industrialized nations like CHINA,RUSSIA, JAPAN, KOREA, INDIA all can come together to form their one currency that can take on the world. That way only we can stop our currency form depleting. We can add small countries like fiji, vietnam, singapore, mynmar etc. later.

Any good finance or revenue expert please forward my message to Modiji. And world needs to know that US$ only cannot be currency in the world everybody would accept. It keeps on printing unlimited gives it to world bank which in turn give it to countries like India, Pakistan and other poor countries and takes interest on it. And decides the fate of the world. For us to be stronger and our currency to be stronger asian countries should come together to form our own currency.

US govt. doesn't care about oil prices because if they increase oil prices from 60$ to 180$ they will print their currency three times more. Only country like us get affected. Thus it is of utmost importance that we deal with world and uae or other oil producing countries in one asian currency. Thus it is of most importance that MODIJI get together with all asian countries and have one currency that will grow stronger like EURO and can tackle agains US$. Please someone read and share my two msg.

Indian currency is getting weaker by the day against US$. Because we import 60% of petroleum. Like European countries if asian countries (china, japan, russia, India) form their own currency and buy petroleum in that currency. We will be able to stop degrading our currency. Right now we have to get US$ against our rupee and go to world to buy petroleum. Europeans realized this and formed Euro and now Euro is much stonger than US$. India should really look to form a single currency in asiaregion.

There is a need for retirement of Vehicles after a certain number of years. Often you find vintage broken down vehicles resulting in clogging of city roads, highways resulting in huge idle running of vehicles in traffic jams. The amount of fuel burnt in the process could set off of one months nations comumsption. Needs to addressed.
