Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Not sure that government can go outside of India or not but as we know current drop in crude oil prices is because of better technology use in petroleum manufacturing and some countries have increased their production on north pole areas. when we say north pole it doesn't mean talking about Alaska

Dear Sir/Madam, as all of us aware the oil reserves will be exhausted in near future. We have to try to reduce the dependency on oil by reducing the number of vehicles, reducing the distance driven, use of carpooling and public transportation, improving the flow of traffic, etc. We cansave one sixth of the fuel by closing the educational institutions and nonessential offices on Saturday. This will also reduce traffic and pollution.

i request all the governments(central and state) to make people's offices in 1-4 Km of range as it will save thousands of liters of petrol and diesel everyday, and it will encourage more and more carpooling and some people may think to prefer their feet to go offices.

Dear Sir,All the PSU Maharatna Sectors should promote and provide the solar panel system under CSR fund to office and residential houses to minimize the electricty supply to such sectors and saved energy could be provided to the needy peoples.. Because it is a fact that the PSU employs does not care for govt. resources and make missuse of it..so the solar electric generation shld be kept free and direct electricity supply shld be payble..

Today, Indian #Oil&Gas Industry is in lot of problems. Past Govt. hit hard the Industry by not giving permits for drilling. Mostly in #NorthEastRegion where thick forest and no transportation is available till even today. #NorthEastRegion is very rich in Gas potential and there is a lot to do to tap that potential. Laying roads and streamlining permissions will accelerate the exploration production in that area.
