Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

since NE areas are excellent location for growing raw material for bio diesel emphasis(jatropha) should be given on it.Since NE has abundant sources of hydro electricity , electric vehicles use should be given more emphasis for local transport.

a process called gasification can be used to harness biodiesel, and a component similar to LPG from bio waste generated from agricultural activites, can baggage(byproduct of sugar industries) this bio fuel can be blended with conventional petrol or diesel in the ratio of 75:25(bio:conventional) thus reducing indias dependence on foreign countries for crude oil,the technology has already been in implementation,i would urge the govt to take this up on awar footing

Bio fuels is the next big thing India's requirement for imported fuel can come down by 2/3 rd if we are able to harness this potential ,the paper industry, sugarindustry and agriculture as a whole are the major raw material providers for bio fuel, the byproduct of paper industry(rich in carbon),by product of sugar industry(cane baggage) and byproduct of agriculture as a whole(leaves and other contents after harvesting) can be harnessed by a proces called gasification

focus should now shift from conventional fuels to bio fuels, the govt in collaboration with petroleum and auto industries should focus on designing hybrid fuels(blend of bio and conventional fuels) and new engines or modify existing engines so that it can work on bio fuels.Indias potential for bio fuels is huge

The major challenge that i daily face is "Wastage of fuel due Traffic density" which led to serious jam and average 1 hr it take to complete two KM, this all due to negligence of concern traffic authorities. Bad Roads at the Bottleneck situation where traffic merge, heavy vehicles came at no-entry time, break out of heavy vehicles. I am daily commuting from Faridabad to Noida and vice versa, daily it take me more than 1 hrs to cross mahamaya bridge to jassola redlight (2.5 KM) stretch.

Cash subsidy on LGP, it is a good idea, giving the subsidy directly to the consumers bank account. But I would like to suggest its extension. After linking bank accounts it can also be done that, a customer can choose to pay the amount of cylinder directly from his account. It may help in eliminating the corruption in LPG delivery (sometimes delivery man ask for some extra money).
