Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Reservoir data evaluation is the most critical issue for any E&P company. Publish existing earth field data of potential Oil & Gas reservoirs in NE areas in Internet inviting GLOBAL expert Petrophysicists and Geologists for interpretation and evaluation of reservoir properties to asses of possibility of hydrocarbon existence. Declare suitable rewards for successful analysts. This "cloud sourcing" might bring fortunes to NE region in terms of discovery of new Oil & Gas fields.

Every river in our country has canals for channelling water to far fertile land. For last few year it has been observed that the development has been taken place along side these canals. because of this fertile fields has been converted to concrete jungles. thus utility of the canal has been affected and the nation has also loosing the fertile land. This will reduce the agriculture produce thus increase the price of food grain. The govt. should take necessary action to save the fertile land.

sir i am consumer of Indane Lpg Gas. i get every time less quantity in my cylinder. i complain to distributor again and again , he says to me that its your nature for complaint. If i say to vender he said jo karna hai karlo . I request to every one how can i get relief from that. my email id is awdheshkumar2003@yahoo.com.

r/sir, LPG gas cylinders of those who donot need 12 cylinders a year are using or forwarding it to use in cars and commercial vendors(viz.hotels,thela etc.) if this pilferage is stopped many more people may be benefitted. police & food dept. should jointly campaign for this and those person found misusing the connection should be blacklisted for PAHAL in addition to punishment under law. strict action will demoralise misuse and will encourage voluntary refusal of subsidy.

Proper publicity is given for Direct Benefit Transfer of Lpg Subsidy. However, few persons are surrendering or are interested in surrendering the LPG subsidy. Easy system with dedicated site for the same should also be publicised so that with the click of button it can be done. I hope like Mr. Jaitely , many people will come forward for the same.
