Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

first we have to define very clearly central and state subjects. in My view the following should be the central subjects. Defence, national security,primary education,primary health, welfare schemes for poor,petrolium and minerals power,infrastructure (high ways only) , rivers

policy has to be clearly defined. india is a country of different states and different languages to run such a divergent country clear policy regarding center state relations,, roght or leff centred or balance right left economic policies and addressing fundam,ental problms like black money, minimum govenace has to be addressed.

budjet is not only a financial proposed statement for a uear. there should be a clear definition of long rage policy and intention of the government

whether i am capable of giving suggestions i hope i am engineering graduate,a business man extensively traveled with i india and abroad and most important never joined a political party for all these years ( I am 67) i deserve to give suggestions

so many forums for discussions I hope some body is seriously looking into the suggestions slogans are coming all for good keep it up now budget is nearing open a forum for budget discussions
