Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

5) Children are receiving negative inspiration from their polluted social environment where theyre nurtured; as corrupt and easy money people are earning luxurious life. Besides this, other social ills, insurgency problem, educated unemployed make children prone (mostly boys) to despair on education and valueing little. Good climate's necessary for growing crops so,we need good environment to grow people. So,accountability for eliminating problems with cooperation of rational comunity is must.

3) Community should be get realize their responsibility for building academic environment in the area and work together with school for better outcome. 4) Activity based learning and such other provisions are less implemented properly. There is a gap between official record and practices. So, ensure these all are implemented properly, it could bring a change in learning outcome into a large extent.

Sir/madame, 1) Our teachers are less optimistic on children's learning outcomes with present teaching learning process, they arent adapted to it yet. They need deep motivation for optimism. 2) Guardians arent aware of the importance of education yet in remote areas, most of them donot wish to relate to school. They feel no responsibility to their children education as govt has been extending aids for children education. So, massive awareness of them and synergy with school to be initiated.
