Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

रुचीकर माध्याम से गणित की मूलभूत संक्रियाऐ करानी चाहिए!शुरू मे ही सीधे शब्द व गणित मे अंक नही सीख पाते है,शुरू मे अक्षर ज्ञान सिखाये व पाठ्यक्रम रुचिकर होना चाहिये!छात्र फेल होने के भय से मुक्त होकर पठाई के प्रति लापरवाह हो गए है !आभिभावकों को मासिक मीटिंग मे बुलाकर छात्रो की प्रगति की रिपोर्ट दे!

पाठ्य पुस्तको का रोचक न होना तथा कार्यपुस्तिकाओ में खासकर अनुलेकन की कम व्यवस्था होना मुख्य समस्या है! कार्यपुस्तिको के पेज मजबूत ना होना व जिल्त का समय पर व्यवस्था न हों पाने के कारन बालक पुस्तके फाड़ देते है ! अत: सभी पुस्तके मजबूत कागज से बनवाई जाये!

ऋतू के द्वारा बताया गया की बुनियादी पठन , लेखन और गणित सिखाने में कठनाई होती है! शिक्षक को खेल-२ के माद्यम से बच्चो को पढ़ाना चाहिए ताकि उसकी पढाई में रूचि बनी रहे!

in small age rather than imposing burden on the students to study more focus should be made on the ways to develop in them interest to study. this is in possible if the things which they're taught are of their interest and the way of teaching is impressive. then motivation will be enough to develop in him/her the skills required. some moths of encouragement will definitely lead to years of devotion.
