With a dramatic growth in elementary education enrolments and improvements in retention and transition rates in recent years, particularly amongst the more disadvantaged groups, there is an increasing pressure on the secondary schools to admit more students. With the enforcement of RTE Act and further improvement in retention and transition rates, demand for secondary schooling will grow rapidly in the coming years. The objective of this discussion group is to assess to what extent we have made quality education available, accessible and affordable to the target population in the age group of 14–18 years. How we can increase access to post elementary education across the country in a manner so as to ensure no child is denied the opportunity of completing his/her school education. In particular, how can we address the geographical and social disparities in secondary education?

I have been asking from so long but no response no help .. I just want a simple policy where if a student could not continue his/her studies for any reason and after few years he wants to continue then based on his work experience he/she should be allowed to appear for his graduation year directly rather than appearing for all the years again from where he left. This is so annoying. Reason could be anything but if he/she left then there would have been a strong reason right?

I don't think that bmp government is sensitive about education . Because I didn't not have got my answer for my question . PM modi only talking about education and picturing teachers as God . But their financial status . I think teachers are like dogs to the political leaders and nothing else . So ur government should thrash out them and post their relatives as teachers . best of luck to the education of india . I am extremely sorry but it is the truth about education .

What I felt is that the boards who are giving affiliation to these schools should be setting such parameters for the Tution Fees & other charges. Doing this will help in minimize the monopoly of these private schools. Education should not be sold like this. It should be same in any region, states or districts through out the country. Option for going to a govt school will not be the solution of this, rather the affiliating authorities should be tight enough , so money making is stopped in the fo

After the formation of Modi Sarkar , so much has happened in many sectors, But this is a sector where a lot of business & money making is going on in the name of good education. In the name of admission fee & school development charges they are taking donations for their infrastructure development and all. Can't the ministry & the board fix certain parameters for the fees to these private schools?Everyone can not get a chance to be admitted to the Central Schools as they are meant for Central Gov

Instead try for 'extending interest in Higher education'. Govt. should make it clear that education is to make your thinking systematic, logical and thoughtful. It has nothing to do with employment. Employment depends on the global demand of goods and services in the market. You should adopt modern attitude because superstition is unproductive and prejudiced population is the greatest danger to the world. The heaven is possible only with creative population and hence be educated and creative.

As a chemistry teacher I would like to say many student opt science subject not to get through IIT or medicine but to do higher education many of them are average or below av.So while making the time table of board exams it is necessary to give sufficient gap between papers.to revise.Because in our country the criteria for success is only to get good marks ,so I request that atleast 3 days gap should be given to each paper so that students (weak) can revise the subject.
