There is a need to improve access to child health services. The Ministry of Health is focusing on promoting child health through appropriate interventions. Presently, the Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD addresses the nutritional needs of school going children in the age group of 6-14 years through the Mid- Day Meal (MDM) Scheme. The Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) under WCD also addresses the issues of child health. There is, however, a need to synergize the multi-sectoral interventions taken by the relevant GOI Ministries. The existing schemes need to be examined for their outcomes and impediments in implementation, including those of coordination. This theme seeks views and suggestions on how to ensure greater focus on child through improvements in existing schemes and suggest new holistic interventions.

Aanganwaadi Centres can help people in making them aware of ongoing schemes. Every born child's parents Aadhar number and contact number might be asked during discharge after delivery. Messages related to counselling can be sent to parents from time to time to make them aware of issues and inform them about vaccinations remaining. SMSs should be sent for two continuous years and health card of child must be issued. A monetary benefit can be given to parents at the end of two years.

Respected Madam, When we talk of children, I think of children on signals , roads begging. Who knows these are the children stolen from not so poor parents. Who knows what was their religion. They get names , religion and take up occupations as forced upon them by the handlers/ trafickers. Can the government under your able guidance take up a programme to use the CCTV footages,Teach them hygiene, educate them into para policing, social service, crime control etc. give them sanskar.

Our jean is going to be poorer so Like Mid - Day -Mill in Rajasthan we can start 1) 0.5 Liter cow's milk to each student . As milk contains all things required for growth .In mid day mill they are using poor quality of grain so cost is higher but quality is lesser . 2) We can give 1 period for exercises also. 3) We can conclude one marshel art or fighting game in syllabus depending on state like - kallaripattu - in Kerla Kusti - in Rajasthan , MP , UP Kungfu or Boxing - in North-east

We are using nature for selfish purposes only. Entire existence, surviving on this earth is facing deterioration and human beings are being affected not only without but within due to the crisis in the environment. The pollution and over population are the reasons. We have stepped into a system of competitive learning and living which is hindering our precious health. We must include practices like Yoga & Meditation in the school's routine schedule .

The child’s health much depends on its relationship with the surrounding environmental nature which is always interacting with our mind body system. To be responsive to the nature, understanding and in taking care of the nature should be compulsory part of learning. We learn much from the nature. Listening to the various sounds like the chirping of birds with attention as this is an essential part of learning, as they aid in developing ones qualities of creativity.
