Better regulation is necessary for economic recovery, to manage risks and
to cut unnecessary red tape. How can countries make regulations fit for this
challenge? How can they avoid imposing additional regulatory burdens on

The ISO audits have not produced the desired effect in improving the working of a company as these are supposed to be just system compliance audits. So, companies make the system in accordance with the clauses of ISO system and follow the system. There is no binding of including or excluding some check points. Only, legal compliance part has binding clauses.
It will really be a challenge for NCVET to ensure that this assessment process by AAs shall not meet the same fate.

This activity shall not become a routine audit of ABs by AAs.
Our experience with Quality System audits, Environment Management Systems audits or OSHAS audit in industry is not good. It just becomes a routine paperwork. Auditor comes and fills some check sheets. Gives some observations and sometimes some Non Compliance points which every company invariably complies. Auditors have their own personal agenda to develop contacts with top management of companies and to get some favour.
