Discussion in Round 2 of the "Smart City Mission" City Challenge, as part of the process, Haldia Municipality is organizing a Discussion Forum where prominent citizens will take up the Pan-city smart solutions and Area Based Development issue suggested by the citizen through Comment for discussion. Citizens may post their Smart Solutions, Addition and Alteration on Draft Proposal. Please participate in discussion online by login to MyGov.

public transport is a blessing for every city With proper attention, it can be made into the safest, fastest and most easily accessible and ensure happy cities and happy citizensThe city bus service should be made more reliable and more connected with all the areas of the city so that citizens can rely on the public transport.

1 we need underground cables for all kinds. 2 solar hub is a smart substituion. 3.underground drainage 4. There should be greenary in every street 5. Maximum vacant lands should be both municipal and non municipal at least either for parking or greenary 6. Most important is digital library is needed. To take initiative from primary school level “what to and what not to do” . Future citizen of Haldia will be smart and activities will be meaningful.

1) Waste Management should be planned 2) Illegal building construction should be eradicated 3) Permanent solution of rain water logging should be there

1) Pollution Free City 2) Free Wifi connectivity 3) Designated lanes for cycling 4) More open spaces with green patches i.e.25% of all land used for development should be reserved for the said purpose 5) Solar Power compulsory 6) Rain water harvesting compulsory 7) All public walls to have murals depicting important history of our culture 8) all major crossroads to have IVRS help centers 9) CCTV all around 10) Better provisions and lifestyle for public servants 11) ETC Tag lanes.

The traffic rules and regulations should be made strict. Like in European countries, the vehicles shall follow designated lane so that the traffic looks disciplined and chaos free.Haldia shall be the first Indian city to adopt this and that will set an example of how Haldia is different from rest of India.
