India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

There are many families getting shattered by this issue daily and it being a process.Every where alcohol is available and the best part is as I mentioned in my earlier post its at a very Low Cost.Cant we do something Sir,I'm a common man with no political power or financial power to do things right.I have seen these issues and has idea with IT by which Employment opportunities can also be created to slow down this poison not by banning but by providing it the Govt.ways with individual terms.....

Suggestion - Instead of nominating 9 people, its better to nominate 9 clubs that have their branches all over india and are active. eg. - Lions, Rotary etc... So it will help in cleaning even the small cities and villages around those clubs.

A kit should be develop like that of self blood sugar testing hand held machine.Further Regional transport authorities of India should allow to share its database of commercial heavy vehicle drivers so that a free test on yearly basis could be done. Similarly sex workers and migrant people should be identify using Adharcard information to request to carryout blood test for HIV on free cost every year.

Dear Sirs, Whenever you travel by train, you will find a large quantity of derailed boggies and uprooted rail track, etc Further, almost all the Police Stations are flooded with accident vehicles rotting for years together. It is suggested that there should be a Scrape & Salvage Dept. under Railway Ministry which should set up Iron Re-rolling Mills in strategic places to re-roll all the iron scrap including the rotten vehicles and other items lying in Police stations.

It is unfortunate that inspite of claiming India having the largest population below 35 years, the site does not provide the category for Sports & Youth Affairs. There should be a separate category of specialisation and field of interest for Sports, Physical Education and Youth Affairs in the site to encompass a large number of youth towards Nation building instead of drifting to militancy. I have put in 45 years of service in Sports Administration and travelled all over India.
