The DD podighai channel telecast the living standards of the handloom workers. They showcases the skills of them by displaying their few products some times. These kind of shows should be encouraged.

reduce personal income tax so that purchasing power for handlooms is increased. modi govt yesterday took a wrong decision to accept 14th finance commission report which increased share of states in central revenue from 32 to 42 %. without cleansing state govt of corruption and misappropriation. it will weaken central govt ability to impose nationally beneficial uniform economic/tax measures like GST. State govt are real obstacles in job creating economic growth due to their vote bank politics

By making more variety of merchandise, which are utilized by the youth than just Saris and Kurtas, our handloom products can be popularized.
Secondly, establishing counters in Malls and other outlets will make them more accessible. Right now the sale counters at aloof and distant locations from the main market place.

Handloom product mainly lags in marketing of the product, here India can able to produce more quality and worth for money products but marketing lags, government should give importance for marketing of the Handloom Brands to all over the world.
