We would also request you to ask those representatives to do the inquiry with all the Indian workers at one go and not one by one because in the latter case, the company will threaten the worker with the risk of being fired from work. We are not even paid our meal allowance which is included in our respective contracts. We have tried to contact the High Commission of India (“HCI”) in Mauritius several times but we have not been attended. The HCI used to send their representatives at our workplace to check if Indians are being treated well at their workplace but this practice has not been done since the last 8 years. As a result we have become victims of the atrocities of our employer.
