Platform ticket price should increase, this will automatically reduce the crowd at platform.Secondly apart from platform area, ticket counter side etc should have shopping zone. Third-Food court,Fourth-Build good lodge kind of thing with reasonable charges and safety so that travelers can stay there instead of hotels etc, special safety arrangement for women travelling to new city for job, exams interviews.

Add extra train compartments in busy way trains..
Also swiping systems in the railway stations would help preventing traveling without tickets.

Extend RailWire to running trains. Add WiFi feature in the train coaches. Add WiFi option in the ticket. charge for the same. automatically give access for that number.

I have suggestion the Prime Minister.
Divide each town or city into four quarters. Select the busiest place from each quarter. Then take steps to keep these selected places as clean as possible with the help of students and social organizations. If cleanliness is maintained for at least an year people will get automatically accustomed to it and feel proud to keep their town/city clean always.

Indian railways is the 8th largest employer in the world and 1st in India.Half of its revenue goes to its employees. So make them work for the pay they receive.Make sure that regular inspection is maintained in all stations on its employees and punish them if found gulity. If your service becomes better then automatically people will choose railways as their top priority and commuters will increase.Trains must be made more punctual and saftey standards must be increased.
