During this month's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme the Prime Minister will share his 'Mann Ki Baat' with youngsters appearing for the various board examinations and competitive exams.

The Prime Minister invites all of you, particularly students, parents and teachers to share their experiences about examinations be it preparing for examinations, the role of parents and teachers in the run up to the examinations.

Please also share memorable exam anecdotes that have left a lasting impression in your minds.

Some of the inputs received will be compiled in the form of an e-book that will become a friend to all youngsters taking these board and competitive exams.

Dear sir, I would like to bring to your kind notice, the prevailing practice of seats for money, in medical and engineering colleges. Huge amounts of money is collected in the name of capitation fees especially for pg medical seats. Those with merit and good marks are pushed behind and people with less marks, but who manage to pay huge amounts of money, manage to get seats. Does our country need second quality persons only because they afford to pay more money and jump the Q??

There shall be one competative exam for all engg courses. Based on the marking the students shall be give option to select whether they want to go to IIT or simply has got chance to select there college under AICTE. Today so many engineers coming out of colleges but most of them r very poor in subject knowldge same is the case with science geaduates. Marks n percentage scored has great significance for getting jobs. Exams structure shall be changed and shall have practical approch.

1. Insist for grade not for marks 2. Insist one day one paper 3. Insist institute / board to provide proper place for examination where natural resources like light etc available. If possible provide government premises temparery,4. If written examination is of three hours provide 10 minutes more to read complete question paper

I am feared to step into the most challenging part of life, that is, the 11 and 12. It is not due to the fact that I am afraid to take the boards again in 12 , but the stressful university exams preparations, in which success will mark laurels and failure a permanent depression..

There is no reason to fear examinations. Do we fear life ?. Examinations have a syllabus, the parameters are defined. Life has no syllabus. Its course can come as a surprise. It gives you no preparatory leave. Sometimes, life does not give you another chance Success in examinations is no barometer for success in life. Please invite students to explore meditation,mindfulness,homeopathy for stress and tensions,EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to handle negatives,counselling centers,,,, to handle Exam Fever. Like medical students, let their be 50 % practicals (ward visits and night stays in wards) so that whatever is learnt is used in real life. Shift is desired from data,information to education - to develop from within. Please address this , Narendra Modiji.

Honourable modiji, This is about medical education. The standard I'd falling steeply. There is great shortage of teachers in medical education. In 1975 the national board of examination was set up utilise the resources in the private sector hospitals to teach post graduates. It is maintaining the standard excellently. In the same way, doctors working in these institutions can be trained to be teachers and examiners

Sir the affection of the invigilator is very imp. We shud play games too..to relax nd we shud tk care of our health..moreover being a CBSE student, i wud say NCERT books r good upto 10th class, but its language and interest vanishes from 11th cls. So.many hv to buy reference books, which is tedious, moreover the frequency nd quality of revision of books shud be good, also the syllabus shud be revised and school teachers be taught tricks of using the options given in competitive xams....
