In order to make the Indian IT Industry move up the value chain and thereby sustain its growth trajectory, India has to adopt a paradigm shift in it’s strategy for software sector by focusing to create vibrant Indian Software Product Industry, where IT Products also contribute equitably and significantly along with IT Services. Though India is well positioned to further grow in services sector, however for holistic growth, there is a need for a National Policy on Software Products that can synergise the efforts of the Government and Industry to create a robust Software Product Industry, which enables the germinating ground for large number of Software product startups, promotes development of an ecosystem encouraging R&D and innovation, opens up multitude of opportunities of access to capital and helps build and improve the domestic demand. A National Policy on Software Products aligning with other initiatives such as Start-up India, Make in India and Digital India etc. can provide the springboard for India to emerge as a global leader in this important industry.

To drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation and synergy with the ITeS sector, so as to place India as a leading player as creator, producer and supplier of innovative Software Products globally thereby enabling the IT Industry to sustain growth momentum, a Draft Policy is under consideration by this Ministry.

Ministry seeks suggestions and feedback from the public and other stakeholders on the draft before forming the policy.

The last date for sharing your inputs on the Draft National Policy on Software Products is December 9, 2016.

Recognition and the other perks that comes with it is also a major reason, our software professionals look for outside opportunities. If these issues can be sorted out, then there is no reason to believe that our software professionals will look for outside opportunities. They would be more than happy to put there knowledge and experience in working for Indian companies that will not only benefit them, but their fellow citizens.

To make Indian IT industry move up the value chain, there is a need to apply multi-pronged strategy, both at the local level and international level. To begin with, steps needs to be taken to refrain professionals from looking for opportunities outside India by offering better growth rate, better facilities and more attractive pay packages that match international standards. Job security is the biggest reason for software professionals looking for opportunities outside India.

I am an NRI living in USA. Wants to congratulate Mr. Modi for the bold step of changing the currency. But did the Govt. think about people living outside of India. 85% has some amount of currency in large bills . This we keep with us only for convenience sake that when we go to India , we do not run to bank or ask any one for the money . it is not very big amount just 40,000 or 50,000 RS. What is the provision for us to exchange that money . Because state bank of India refused to take Indian Rup

For speedy shifting of cash to cashless society it is advisable to provide POS at micro level i.e. Subji Wala, Taxi Wala, Auto Rickshaw wala, small food vendors, consulting doctors etc at free/ concessional rates. Right now they are not eligible for POS. Instruct RBI to pass order to banks for an immediate implementation

Hon. PM decision of demonatisation has been welcome by all the small,medium and honest catagory people, the out flow of money are materially in market, but, if the notes of rs.500/= available from all the ATM, all the problem can be immediately solved and small and medium catagory people will be happy, some of the unloyal staff of banks are not providing the required amount of depositer, eventhough, they have enough cash,or duality approach, use of ATM will resolve that issues, best wishes

The registration of land should linked to government Wed based map. To avoid frauds. Government shall have its own Google Earth like map. And bills shall be passed with its monitoring.

1- Better Technological knowledge development Institutes should be give focus in NATIONAL POLICY ON SOFTWARE PRODUCTS. Institutes which promote International knowledge and better employment in that sector.

Sir Like demonitisation you can do in IT also I had been telling this to RBI and Manmohan govt and various medias . but all gone in air I am confident that if you decide we will have our own cyber fort. As microsoft has its own operating system "OS" and hence they can secure the platform by patches at every stage and any hacking. Ok Now in short what i want you to do is have a govt team of programmers who can develop a "OS" call "BHARAT OS" and develop software for govt schemes and RBI TRAI
