Towns along Ganga should be inspire to make there area ZERO GARBAGE ZONE. This can be achieved by segrigation of waste into dry and wet. Make compost from wet and sent dry to recycle units. Sewage water should be treated and used for non drinking purposes. Pollutant industries should be encouraged to use eco friendly waste mgt Technics. Any big plan will invite corruption, instead local level solutions should be encouraged with maximum peoples participation.

Waste management and sewage water treatment is no rocket science. If Minister in-charge can lead from her own example by making her office/home eco friendly with reduce/reuse/recycle idea and show it to the world, than people along Ganga will surely take this forward.

Let the mother Ganga flow without any obstruction, she will flush out the garbage herself in due course, also the people who make her dirty will be wiped out.

Every Ganga Ghat should have a counter called 'Ganga Seva Volunteers' where devotees and locals can volunteer to do their bit in cleaning Ganga, Here people who would volenteer, can be educated about Mighty Ganga and her ecology and the importance of cleaning Ganga, and the volunteers can be used in cleaning Ganga at their capacity, and this counter should work every day and should be open to all, This would surely make an impact in spreading awareness and in actual cleaning.

Untill Unless the Industrialist will not understand their role about industry drainage in Ganga and will clean it out, it is not possible to dream about the clean ganga programme....

The goddess Ganga as the Hindus regard the Ganga. Clean Ganga steps are as follows: a) Intercepting untreated municipal sewage and industrial waste water flowing into river and letting treated effluent into Ganga. b) Setting up of Sewage Treatment Plants. c) Construction of Biogas/electrical crematoria and bathing ghats/toilets along Ganga. d) Improvement of and also afforestation along river bank. e) Management of Solid Waste to prevent dumping of solid waste into river. Thanking You.
