India is accelerating towards an increasingly digitised and data-driven economy. With increasing digitization and engagement, the volume of data is also increasing exponentially, providing opportunities for better governance, service delivery and innovation in sectors critical for societal transformation.

Against this backdrop, the National Data Governance Framework Policy aims to enhance access, quality, and use of data, in line with the current and emerging technology needs of the decade.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology invites all Indian citizens to bring their best ideas, inputs and suggestions to the table as we move ahead to become the hub for Data-driven innovation and decision making.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Data Governance Framework Policy (PDF 509 KB)

Data governance should have following. Easy access High security Easy access: each nook and corner should have coverage with speed. Should have easy access to the user Should be available with simple steps Should be familiar to user. Help option should be there. Most of the people are uneducated and not femalier with operation, there demo should be there. Some people they do know how to use, there fore they are taking help of others. So while developing app or soft ware , developer should keep it mind and special option has to be developed such as permission etc.

Respected Government of India there are many Andorid Applications on Google Playstore which are registered but most of them want access Photos, SMS, emails, files and folders of users and they ask for permission for same even when it is not required. when user are not allowing access then these applications don't work. Due to frustration user grant permission to mobile applications to access files, photos, folders, emails, SMS then these application use users data and sell it to Third party and this is how user data is leaked. Government of India must make Strick rules for all Google Playstore Andorid applications to provide clear transparancy on what data is accessed by these Android application and must disclose same to GOI through proper channels. Government of India must only give permission to Registered Andorid application and should give restrict access to limited users data as per Government of India. Users of Android applications must not be forces to access files.
