India is accelerating towards an increasingly digitised and data-driven economy. With increasing digitization and engagement, the volume of data is also increasing exponentially, providing opportunities for better governance, service delivery and innovation in sectors critical for societal transformation.

Against this backdrop, the National Data Governance Framework Policy aims to enhance access, quality, and use of data, in line with the current and emerging technology needs of the decade.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology invites all Indian citizens to bring their best ideas, inputs and suggestions to the table as we move ahead to become the hub for Data-driven innovation and decision making.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Data Governance Framework Policy (PDF 509 KB)

5. Govt should Look into some private universities and enterprises and make sure they are managing people's data which they collect through their website is safe and secured and govt should have one body who checks whether these universities and enterprises are managing it through proper infrastructure and computer expert teams or not !! 6. every govt. website should collect only those dats which are needed and only for a temporary period of time and citizens should be informed about how long and what purpose it is collected. 7. Indian Police is lacking on Digital Infrastructure Heavily and they don't have proper training to handle such online fraud or cyber crimes and no single central cyber security team is not enough,, every police personnel should get some sort of training so that data management improvise 8.BlockChain At the level or Law and Order and Banking is Need of an hour and must be the priority to secure some critical data 9. Smart Gadgets should be under regulation

National Data Governance Framework Policy is a great step forward though the policy is not clear about a few things whether in due consideration or not so let me suggest it :: 1. Operating System should be linux kernel as it is much secured and easy to manage when it comes to government operations and security concerns 2. every person who is using digital governance support he/she is using through mobile phone or computer in both the data security is needed... Govt should put complusion on companies to provide at least 3 years of data security and one should be liable if data stolen from the same gadget 3. If the site is smooth and easy to use then and then people will use it consistently,, so please work to enhance user experience by improving website function and try to decrease loading time of govt. websites. 4. central data center should be equipped with top notch super computer ,, PARAM is much less in speed than even some foreign private company's which makes us vulnerable
