Idea 1. Single return for GST having both inward and outward supply should be implemented. This return should be due by 20th of the month. For availing ITC matching concept will continue where business can take credit on invoices uploaded by suppliers in the previous month. This will have one month delay in availing credit but can give great relief to industry at large. Idea 2. Due date for availing input tax credit in GST should be the due date of filing annual return and not september of subsequent financial year. This would greatly help tax payers to pay the omitted taxes including reverse charge liabilities and avail credit on the other side. This would really encourage tax payers to come forward and pay taxes instead of hiding tax exposures thinking will be faced during audits.
