One EPF , One Citizen , One Tax policy , Enable at par VPF contribution , preferably as a percentage of Tax Paid . Respected Maam , EPF servers as a safe and good retirement building instrument to salaried class , irrespective if it is a government employee or a private one. Not sure what government employees did to get the exemption limit raised to double of that for private employee. Request you to treat all salaried class at par and not discriminate when defining limits . Also current ceiling of 2.5 Lacs is very low and should be made proportional to tax paid (for eg 50% or better 100% ) by an individual in past year . Please try to change the 1% high income logic to say .01% as only about 4000 individuals were contributing to excess of 1CR as i have read somewhere. Why penalize other 1 L employees ? Kindly don't take away the opportunity provided to sincere tax payers of salaried class to generate a decent retirement income via EPF process.

Please remove all the free schemes and use that money for reducing the taxes on ordinary people. I.e fuel price, abolish income tax for less than ~30L annual salary, reduce gst on daily needs, improve medical facilities and much more.... Fact is free welfare schemes are not really utilised by poor people. My final words are please ensure more money available in ordinary people.

Income tax should be replaced with an all product and service included Expense tax. So as the regime continues we pay for goods and services as we purchase them and there is acceptable percentage of tax deducted at source. Then why should we pay additional professional tax at state level or transaction tax even for nil sales or accrued losses. Income tax filing is suitable for record keeping, though any impositions of cost after the purchase or sales of product or service implies zero benefit if there is no stated return on investment, but an open threat to life under disguise of extensive compilations and discrepancies. Expense tax as GST is compulsion, that is itself comprehensive of contribution. Only expense tax regimes must be followed. One nation, one transaction, one tax. No transaction no tax.
