MATHRUBHUMI NEWSPAPER was established on February 15, 1922. Mahatma Gandhi, with whose inspiration Mathrubhumi was born. KP Kesava Menon was the founder of Mathrubhumi. For the past 100 years, the newspaper has become a beacon of hope for all margins of society by fighting social issues, crime and injustice. Mathrubhumi was born into a turbulent period, into the midst of the struggles for independence. Kadampuzha Bhagavathy Temple of Kerala’s Malappuram has started free dialysis treatment to poor people from 31st January, with 10 dialysis machines. another 15 machines will be installed soon. The project is a free dialysis centre for poor kidney patients. Its construction will be completed with modern facilities in a short period of time. With 25 dialysis machines, it is envisaged that 100 patients can be dialysed in a day. The centre’s main aim is to prevent the poor patients in the surrounding areas of Katampuzha from having dialysis. Kadampuzha Devaswam also aims to make the hospital a free kidney transplant centre. Religious institutions and other charity trusts of all faiths doing such humanitarian work shall be highly appreciated by all. ince 1988, a totally free charitable hospital has been functioning at the Kadampuzha Devi temple complex under the auspices of Kadampuzha Devaswom, serving the multitudes without any discrimination of caste or creed
