Covering various aspects of topics related to the Panchayati Raj System, Schemes and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through this ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ iconic week, let’s provide a strong source of inspiration to all citizens of this country inviting their ideas on the PanchayatVision@2047.

A streamlined governance, especially at the local level benefits the nation as a whole. India is a signatory to the UN 2030 Agenda to achieve inclusive and people-centric sustainable development through the 17 SDGs.

Thus, with greater cooperation from the citizens of India, efforts of the Government of India and the local bodies towards a qualitative and quantitative transformation of the Panchayati Raj System would be fulfilled.

Last date to share your ideas is 14th May 2022.

Every Panchayat should have a cold storage facility to store vegetables, grains, milk and fruits to prevent them from heat and moisture. This will save many perishable products and farmers will get benefitted. There should be a transparent direct selling arrangements for the farmers without any middlemans looting the money. The registered farmers can display their products price and it should be procured by the sellers only in that price. This will help the farmers to sell their products at fair price. There should be a system to monitor the bulk purchase by retailers at cheap price and selling it at higher price. Government should help the farmers to sell their products directly to the consumers without the intervention of any middleman or agents. Government can appoint unemployed youths for this purpose and make use of them. They will also earn money. Shops can be allocated in key places to the registered farmers to sell their products (Like Farmers Market). Jai Hind 🇮🇳

Apart from other existing technologies: Indian Farmers should be provided with following advanced technologies in order get transformations in our agriculture from traditional based to technological based. 1. GIS software and GPS agriculture 2. Satellite imagery 3. Drone and other aerial imagery 4. Farming software and online data 5. Merging datasets As a result, modern farms get significant benefits from the ever-evolving digital agriculture. These benefits include reduced consumption of water, nutrients, and fertilizer, reduced negative impact on the surrounding ecosystem, reduced chemical runoff into local groundwater and rivers, better efficiency, reduced prices, and many more. Thereby, business becomes cost-effective, smart, and sustainable. Let’s discuss some of these agricultural technologies.

All Panchayats across the country should have a proper street lights on the main roads with the sign boards with the names. A dedicated website containing information about important places in that Panchayat zone will be helpful for the tourists. A dedicated Information Centre (E Seva) connecting all Panchayats to seek help or post their grievances (Like PG Portal) will help many people. If the grievance is not addressed with in a week it should automatically escalated to the State Government officials to solve it. Good road connecting all villages to save fuel and time must be done. If there is any poor quality Road is laid the contractor has to be punished and the total amount has to be collected from him. Planning to install Solar panels to generate power and it can be used for Street Lights. Health Centre with dedicated volunteers and doctors with quality treatment for those who have registered in health insurance scheme has to be provided at all Panchayats. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
